Jen is a local Artist and Teacher and she delivers her popular creative workshops and classes to Artists of all ages under the name ‘The Colour Club’. With a wide range of skills and techniques to teach gathered from her own wide Art and Design education, seven years working in Art Departments in the Film Industry and thirteen years Art teaching, she designs creative experiences that are brilliant fun and allow each learner to make excellent progress, no matter the ability. Jen has been inspired by the natural environment and William Morris since childhood and loves looking out of the windows of Broadway Tower and imagining him doing the same, seeing how nature fits a frame. This is the first in a year of monthly workshops in printmaking, drawing, clay work and painting at Tower Barn where Jen will be inspired by ‘Morris and Nature’, to create a series of different outcomes. She hopes that you will join her to develop your own ideas and creativity. In this first workshop you will be drawing from Morris’ textiles and wallpapers to create lino prints, polyblock prints and collographs that can be framed or used as gift wrap and cards. The ticket includes all materials and three frames, tea / coffee and some delicious cake. Please bring an old shirt or an apron to protect your clothes (and don’t wear white!)
