Perfect for beginners or improvers, these 5 classes take you through a project each week, where you will learn valuable techniques, tips and advice while creating a beautiful painting to take home.

Working from organic subject such as plants, flowers, fruit and feathers – Helen will guide you through, step-by-step using pencil, watercolour and pen & ink.

All equipment and materials are provided as well as top class refreshments from Tower Barn Café.

The cost is £45 per class or you can book all 5 classes for £200 (saving £25.00), or you can choose individual ones to suit you.

Week 1- Monday 20^th June 2022  (9.30 – 11.30)

Feathers – Introduction to watercolours , observation, looking at tonal values and building up layers.

Week 2- Monday 27^th June 2022  (9.30 – 11.30)

Peppers – Introducing more colour, shading, highlights, lifting out and colour mixing.

Week 3- Monday 4^th July 2022  (9.30 – 11.30)

Herbs – Looking at plants, mixing greens, producing a beautiful sampler of various herbs, working from life.

Week 4- Monday 11^th July 2022  (9.30 – 11.30)

House Plants – Shape, colour and form – creating an attractive study of a house plant, working from life.

Week 5- Monday 18th 2022  (9.30 – 11.30)

Floral composition – Producing a finished, stylised watercolour painting of a beautiful bloom from life.

Helen is an experienced tutor, having taught classes for many years as well as exhibiting her work in galleries up and down the country. Her paintings have sold to collectors both in the UK and internationally.
