WELCOME
What a privilege to be caring for such a wonderfully glamorous old friend. For over 40 years I have relished my part in the tale of Broadway Tower, and look forward to its companionship for many more years.

As with all old friends, we have grown in each other’s company through moments of beauty, bliss, great challenge and adversity. Treasured relationships lead us to contemplate what is beyond the predictable, to find new solutions and to rethink our values – and I am not the only one, who has experienced such passion, obsession and life-changing moments through this building.
As I study the story of this eccentric folly in greater detail, more and more characters come to light, who have looked over the parapet of daily life to find new revelations at Broadway Tower. And they have gone forth from here to change their world and sometimes our world with it.
Sitting here in the Tower on the eve of re-opening to visitors, I feel such joy. For many months all of us have faced enormous challenges, and the Tower has not escaped its own troubles: massive water ingress, mould, collapsing plaster, rotting wiring, falling fascia stones. The building’s location on ancient Beacon Hill, allowing us to see 16 counties, brings with it enormous exposure to storms and wild elements. Experiencing them makes us all feel more alive somehow and helps us muster the grit to campaign on.
Having completed the restoration, I feel not only huge relief but also enormous optimism that the story will continue and have a future. I need to express gratitude to those who have pulled out all stops to help without hesitation. Thanks to you the saga of passion, eccentricity, love and loathing will have many more chapters for future generations to enjoy.
May I thank you too for visiting? We are all so pleased you are here to join us and the extraordinary minds associated with Broadway Tower’s past. Your support allows us to continue the protection of this magical site and I hope you enjoy its story. Who knows, maybe it will lead you to your own inspiration, to follow your dreams like the visionaries who visited before you.
