In our two-hour workshop, you will learn how to create beautiful furoshiki gift-wrapping and elegant tied bags, using methods and textiles from Japan’s ancient capital, Kyoto. Furoshiki are clever and creative, and as versatile as your imagination.

Cathy is a children’s book illustrator who fell in love with the creativity and tradition of Japan’s ancient capital, Kyoto. She stopped in her tracks when she saw the ingenious patterns and illustrations on Musubi’s beautiful textiles. She loves the vibrant colour palette and the interesting fabrics.
